The goal is clear: to strengthen tourism in Sisimiut – for the benefit of both visitors and the local community.

As tourism in Greenland continues to grow, standing together and thinking locally – even when offering large-scale experiences – has never been more important.

The partnership coincides with the completion of a major expansion at Hotel SØMA Sisimiut. With 22 new rooms and apartments, modern conference facilities, a café, restaurant, spa, and lounge, the hotel is now well-equipped to welcome both individual travelers and larger groups – and to provide an even better setting for experiences in Greenland.
For Arctic Star, the partnership marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Together, the partners have significantly upgraded their equipment offerings, adding:
- 9 electric bikes
- 6 ATVs
- 2 UTVs
- 11 snowmobiles
- 1 32-foot tourist boat
These investments open new possibilities for year-round, land and sea-based adventures and tailored tour packages.
