Overview

Put your ski shoes on and explore the untouched territory around Sisimiut one step at a time. Once you will climb to the top of the mountain ridge, it will feel like reaching top of the world. The smooth ski ride down the slope on the fresh powder snow is to experience the true feeling of freedom. Every step of the journey is earned at is best enjoyed in a company of good friends. Ski touring is a spectacular experience that is quite different from the traditional skiing on overfilled tourist slopes. Here you become a part of nature and feel alive as never before. We are offering ski touring trips for both beginners and experienced skiers. We are looking forward to your visit.

Friday

Arrival to Sisimiut

Arrival to Sisimiut where Hotel SØMA warmly welcomes you at the airport.
Upon check-in, you the guide will meet you at the reception and explain you the program of the weekend.
In the evening, enjoy a delightful welcome dinner at SØMA restaurant.
Night at Hotel SØMA Sisimiut

Saturday

1st day of skiing

After a hearty breakfast, you will meet the guide at the reception and be transferred to the starting point of your skiing tour.
The tour will last between 3 and 5 hours; for the beginners, the first hour will be dedicated to a presentation about ski touring and safety.
Transfer back to the hotel. In the afternoon you can relax in SØMA Arctic Spa and Sauna before enjoying dinner.

Sunday

2nd day of skiing

After breakfast, we embark for our second day of ski touring and today we will explore another area of Sisimiut backcountry, which will be chosen by the guide depending on the snow condition.
We will go back to the hotel in the late afternoon, just on time for our last dinner.

Monday

Goodbye

Unfortunately, it is time to say goodbye. After breakfast, we will drive you to the airport, offering one last glimpse of Sisimiut.
