Career at HOTEL SØMA is about personal development. Since the videos were recorded, both Eva and Christina has embarked on new adventures in their careers. Christina has decided to continue her studies full time in Denmark and Eva has taken her place as our new Deputy Manager.

Christina is the backbone of Hotel SØMA’s daily operations. She collaborates closely with Eva, the Junior Manager, to ensure that our guests have an unforgettable experience. Christina’s role is multifaceted, from business development to guest relations. She loves sharing her passion for Greenland with our guests, helping them plan their adventures and making their travel dreams come true.
Eva brings a fresh perspective to the team, focusing on human resources and team management. She believes in creating a positive work environment, which she attributes to the “family-like” atmosphere at Hotel SØMA. Eva’s role has given her valuable experience in management, human resources and has boosted her confidence.
Skills that Make a Difference
To be a manager at HOTEL SØMA means to a have a strong set og management and guest relation skills. Both Christina and Eva excel in making guests feel welcome and assisting them in fulfilling their travel dreams in Greenland. They both use their local knowledge to help our guests experience a true piece of Greenland. The roles of Deputy and Junior manager complement each other closely while there is focus in personal development and in-house knowledge sharing.
Embracing a piece of Greenland
Christina loves the outdoors. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her dog sledding with her 11 dogs or snowmobiling in the backcountry. These activities not only give her a break from her busy schedule but also deepen her connection with Greenland. Eva enjoys snowmobiling, skiing, sailing, fishing, and hunting. She believes that these activities offer a unique way to discover Greenland and its backcountry. For Eva, life in Sisimiut is filled with “amazing and surprising stuff.”
