Hiking is the perfect way to immerse in Greenlandic nature and explore the island of Aasiaat. You do not have to be very experienced to hike here since the island is quite flat, just bring your hiking shoes and you are ready to go.
The island of Aasiaat is easy to explore on your own. We offer hiking maps with great routes in the area. Please contact our reception to get a map and inquire about recommended routes and needed equipment. In order to preserve and protect the wonderful arctic nature, we kindly ask you to follow the marked routes.
Top of Aasiaat island

Our guide will take you to one of highest points of the island. From here you can enjoy the view over the town as well as the island and the fjords behind it.
Whale watching spot
Duration: 3-4 hour guided tour
Price: DKK 625,-
Together we will hike to the end of the island to explore the majestic scenery and Greenlandic nature. The tour goes to one of the great whale watching spots of Aasiaat. Even if the whales do not show up, the view over the fjord is beautiful and worth the trip.
