Imagine living in the Arctic hundreds of years ago. There is no electricity, no oil lamps and during the winter months you are surrounded by total darkness. But something does bright up the skies during these months. Aurora Borealis has been fascinating humans for centuries and you are about to understand why. To stand under the dancing veil of green and purple lights is truly a unique experience. During the tour you will hear the legends surrounding the northern lights phenomenon – made in Greenland and other nordic countries. We will also take our camera and take photos so that you can remember this experience forever.

We have all heard about northern lights and that there is an explanation for why it appears in the northern parts of the globe. But maybe we can not quite remember exactly what causes these lights to appear anymore. 

Some people even believe that they can hear northern lights crackling and whooshing. Can this be true or is it a myth? 

During the tour we will revisit the theory behind aurora borealis’ appearance in the sky, its different forms and colours and how it is connected to the Sun.
