Responsibilities:
As Head Chef at Hotel SØMA Nuuk, you will play a key role in further developing our restaurant and café concept. Your primary tasks will include:
- Streamlining operations in our café and restaurant, including planning menus, optimizing purchasing, and developing procedures and workflows.
- Creating menus with local ingredients, incorporating elements of French cuisine.
- Implementing systems that ensure high customer satisfaction and a positive work environment for employees.
- Retaining and recruiting skilled staff and managing the scheduling.
- Ensuring high standards for conference catering, as well as developing seasonal events such as Christmas and Easter luncheons and other popular gatherings.
- Establishing and maintaining an attractive weekend brunch buffet.
- Actively participating in daily operations and working closely with the management team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a busy, quality-focused kitchen.
- Solid background in French cuisine.
- Experience in leadership and staff development.
- Ability to work efficiently and structured under pressure.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to create a positive work environment.
