Here is an overview of the different tours:
1st Sunday of the Month: Færingehavn, Nordafar & Polar Oil
Available: 6.7., 3.8. and 7.9.
Cruise through scenic narrow straits past “The Lady” statue as we head south. Explore the abandoned Færingehavn fishing village and Nordafar’s historic factory site, then visit Polar Oil, Greenland’s largest fuel terminal, for a short guided walk. Enjoy breathtaking landscapes and try your hand at fishing.
2nd Sunday of the Month: Sermitsiaq Glacier & Qoornoq
Available: 13.7., 10.8. and 14.9.
Sail along the Nuuk shoreline with insights into the city’s development. Glide past the majestic Sermitsiaq Glacier and cascading waterfalls. View ancient Inuit settlement sites near Bear Island and see Qingaaq, the area’s tallest peak. Disembark at Qoornoq, a picturesque abandoned village with rich storytelling. Wildlife sightings often include icebergs, seals, whales, and seabirds.
3rd Sunday of the Month: Nordlandet, Hope Island & Kangeq
Available: 17.8. and 21.9.
Learn about Nuuk’s past as we pass the city and visit Hope Island, where missionary Hans Egede lived for seven years. Cruise through bird-filled straits and, weather permitting, explore Kangeq, one of Greenland’s most historic settlements. Return via fjord with chances to spot seals and whales.
4th Sunday of the Month: Eqaluit Paarliit, Præstefjorden & Narsaq
Available: 27.7. and 24.8.,
Sail alongside Store Malene and The Deer Antler Mountains, through Ugpik straits into Præstefjord, where Hans Egede had his summer site. If tides allow, we’ll go ashore for berry picking and exploration. Visit the abandoned village of Narsaq (Lillenarsaq) with a short self-guided land walk. Return via narrow passages and “The Lady.”
